See Alexandra Uppman at work this autumn during live drawing sessions at the museum, where she’ll be creating a special on-site piece for the exhibition. When the Trees Sing will ultimately be a largescale triptych oil-based charcoal drawing, depicting a landscape underlining the beauty of nature and forestry, with subtle references to the artist’s affinity for folklore and ancient practices. In light of the rapid decline of native insect populations and plant species, she seeks to share her perspective on the natural world through her own eerie lens. Be sure to meet the artist and learn more about her project firsthand. Alexandra will start her project in September. In October and November there will be talking slots every Thursday for open questions.👩🎨 Meet the artist during discussion sessions from 5-8 pm
