Praful is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and live-looping artist whose music moves between ceremony, deep listening and celebration.
Blending indigenous folk traditions, sacred chants, Indian ragas, breath-driven flute melodies, organic electronic textures and hypnotic rhythms, he creates immersive sound journeys that many
experience as medicine for the heart - music that invites stillness, connection and aliveness.
Years of travel and immersion in musical and spiritual traditions in India, Brazil and beyond gradually shaped a musical language that feels both ancient and strikingly contemporary. Whether playing bansuri flute, saxophone, percussion or voice, Praful approaches music less as performance and more as a shared field of presence - where silence, rhythm, devotion and spontaneity meet.
In the early 2000s, he became internationally known through his pioneering chill-jazz releases, earning Billboard chart success and the #1 US jazz radio hit “Sigh.” Yet at the height of that
recognition, he stepped away from the conventional music industry path in search of something more essential and true.
Since then, his work has evolved into a deeply personal form of Sacred World Fusion — weaving together mantra, ecstatic grooves, soulful songwriting, improvisation and meditative soundscapes into experiences that are grounding, sensual and uplifting all at once.
His concerts often feel less like performances and more like gatherings: spaces where people reconnect with wonder, tenderness, longing, joy and the sacredness of being alive.
Eckhart Tolle described his music as “tremendously beautiful and deeply touching.” Others simply call it music that opens the heart.
