In conjunction with Swing Aus Lindy Hop Weekend, we are excited to be bringing Craig Gildner and The Ivy City 6 to our little city of Lancaster! This stellar band pays tribute to the fabulous small swing groups of the 30’s and 40’s led by Count Basie and his famous sidemen. Lester Young, Freddie Green, and Buck Clayton tunes are featured, as well as later artists who were inspired by the “sound”, like Al Cohn and Zoot Sims. Mostly instrumental, but a few vocals here and there. All of it swings hard and is perfect for dancing!WHERE:The Iris Club
WHEN: 7-8 PM – Beginner 6-count lesson
8-11 PM – Social Dancing to Craig Gildner and The Ivy City 6
ADMISSION: $25 available at the door unless we sell out!

Late Night Dance: $10 admission (admission price begins after 10:15pm)
11pm-1:30am: Swing & Blues with DJ TBD
