On the evening of Wednesday, October 8th , we dig into the synthesized ether with LA based composer and artist Isaac Sherman. This tour celebrates Sherman's debut album A Pasture, It's Limits.
Joining Sherman is Cool Maritime, who's work on Western Vinyl and Leaving Records celebrates the organic through electronics. Also performing is local legend Chuck Johnson, who's own work continues to evolve and was recently announced as a performer at the esteemed Big Ears Festival.
So excited for this one. All sorts of traditions at the heart of these fantastic artists.

ISAAC SHERMAN
Isaac Sherman is a musician, composer and filmmaker based in Los Angeles, CA.Engaging with an array of analog and digital synthesizers, samplers, guitars and vocals, his music blends elements of experimental pop, kosmische, minimalism, ambient music and experimental jazz. His live shows offer a range of musical presentations, from structured compositions to free-flowing improvisations. He has performed at venues around Los Angeles such as Zebulon, 2220 Arts + Archives, Gold Diggers, Permanent Records, Healing Force Records - joining bills with musicians such as Dustin Wong, Julius Smack, Nicole McCabe, Walt McClements, Gregory Uhlmann, and more.
COOL MARITIME
Cool Maritime is the sonic universe of Santa Cruz–raised electronic musician and filmmaker Sean Hellfritsch — an immersive sound adventure where synthesis meets the natural world.
Living just north of the San Francisco Bay Area, Sean draws from his life in the ocean, focussing tides, winds, and shifting light into music released on Western Vinyl and Leaving Records. His work channels moments of awe, joy, and deep connection to the environment into vibrant, exploratory soundscapes.
With textures that are largely electronic yet feel organic, Cool Maritime creates lush, breathing arrangements that ebb, flow, and glide like currents—inviting listeners into a space that is alive, expansive, and full of wonder.
CHUCK JOHNSON
Chuck Johnson is a California-based composer, producer, and musician. He approaches his work with an ear towards finding faults and instabilities that might reveal latent beauty, with a focus on pedal steel guitar, experimental electronics, alternate tuning systems, and composing for film and television. Recordings of his work have been published by Western Vinyl, VDSQ, Thrill Jockey, Temporary Residence, Kompakt, Ghostly, and Three Lobed, among others.
