SACRED COWBOYS - Live at RRR March 2026Closing out the month, Sacred Cowboys storm the Triple R Performance Space on Friday 27 March, hosted by Clara Slewa of Velvet Haze.
This seminal Melbourne band has returned with their first Sacred Cowboys album since 2007 . 'In The Manifesto is out now on Beast Records, France, and Torn & Frayed, Australia. It's authentic ragged rock'n'roll. The band was formed in 1982 by Garry Gray and Mark Ferrie, Gray now says, ''Sacred Cowboys circa 2026 are a new band with an extensive back catalog.''
Sacred Cowboys built a reputation driving intense, conceptual theater driven by the lyrics with their collision of 'post-punk existential' musical landscapes with no adherence to a specific genre as the engine room of their songs.
Gray and Mark Ferrie revived the band in 2025 and enlisted Timothy Deane, Anthony Paine, and Damian Fitzgerald. The latest lineup was put together to give new life to that ethos of soundscape and lyrical imagery working for each song.
Sacred Cowboys are back with a new album. After decades of cult status in Naarm's underground, they join us on RRR Live ahead of Canberra and Sydney launches to be followed by performances at the Binic Festival and the Beast Festival in Rennes, France.
