The Andromeda Mega Express Orchestra (AMEO) is considered one of the most original orchestras in the international scene:

After four acclaimed albums and well over 200 concerts in 25 countries on four continents, it is currently a twelve-member group that can expand flexibly. It mainly plays compositions by founder Daniel Glatzel, which always overcome and expand musical boundaries. Its music has been constantly reinventing itself since the orchestra was founded (2006) - hardly any band has examined, experienced and brought together so many styles, attitudes and musical colors in an original way.
AMEO currently draws from a colorful spectrum of jazz, classical, indigenous music from Malawi and Brazil, avant-garde, punk, ambient and electronica. Part of its current program was created specifically for an audiovisual show at Berghain. It has also performed in the large philharmonic halls of the Berlin, Cologne and Elbphilharmonie, at Roskilde Festival, Paradiso Amsterdam, Cairo Jazzfest and many more. In 2021, AMEO was the first large ensemble to be honored with the German Jazz Prize. In 2024 it was nominated again as "Ensemble of the Year".
