🌎 Kids Beach Cleanup at Dockweiler Beach – Celebrate Earth Day with Us!
In celebration of Earth Day, LA County Beaches and Harbors is partnering with Heal the Bay to host a Kids Beach Cleanup at Dockweiler Beach!
Our goal is to inspire and educate a new generation to take action and help create a more sustainable future. This hands-on event is designed especially for kids and families who want to make a positive impact on our local coastline.
This FREE community event will also feature:
- ♻️ Our interactive Can the Trash! booth
- 🎨 An arts & crafts station hosted by reDiscover Center
- 🌊 A Traveling Tidepool experience where kids can explore and learn about fascinating marine life up close
Bring your family and friends and join us for a meaningful, educational morning by the ocean!

🧤 Ready to Roll Up Your Sleeves?
We’d love to have you participate! Please review the following important information:
- A signed beach cleanup is required for every volunteer.
- All volunteers must print, complete, and submit a signed waiver to participate.
- Volunteers 12 years & younger must be accompanied by an adult.
- Volunteers under 18 must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
- Gloves, buckets, and trash pickers will be provided (while supplies last).
- We encourage you to bring your own reusable cleanup supplies to help reduce our environmental footprint.
Be Safe & Prepared:
Please bring:
- Hat
- Sunscreen
- Water
- Refillable water bottle
⏱ Service hour forms will be signed by a beach captain at the end of the cleanup.
