The official launch of Little Eaton Carnival Week is marked by our Crowning Afternoon.From 2pm onwards...Everyone is encouraged to bring their own picnic, blanket and chairs to our picnic on the park.
2:20pm Our crowning ceremony begins with the introduction of this year's attendants and crown bearer, followed by the coronation of our Carnival King or Queen, by our outgoing Queen, Ada.
No time to pack a picnic? The team from The Village Pre-school will be selling tea, coffee and cake from the lower level of the village hall and Mastroianni's Ices will be onsite in their traditional ice-cream van.
They'll be live music and some inflatable fairground fun.
It's also the place to submit your entry for the Construct-a-Duck competition, returning for it's second year.
Plus duck race tickets will be being sold at £2 each ahead of our ever popular Duck Race on Wednesday 1st July, with a winning prize of £200.
Around 3:10pm sees the start of our Tug-of-War competition. With several of our local gyms and pubs signed up - can the Bell & Harp retain last year's title?
