Welcome to Little (Chef's) Academy — a hands-on cooking series designed to give kids a real foundation in food. Not just how to follow a recipe, but how to think like a chef.
Taste pairing, food groups, knife skills, plating, and the kind of beginner fundamentals that turn curious kids into genuinely confident ones.
We know that a healthy relationship with food starts early. When children learn to understand, prepare, and appreciate real ingredients, it shapes the way they eat, the way they feel about their fantastic bodies, and the skills they carry for life.
Cooking 101 is the first course in the Little (Chef's) Academy series. Kids ages 6–7 start here — exploring whole ingredients, learning the food groups, and getting their first real kitchen experience in a safe, small, and incredibly fun environment. This course is a prerequisite for Cooking 201. Once they complete 101, they move on.
In this class your little chef will:
- Explore the food groups through whole, real ingredients
- Learn the basics of taste pairing and flavor exploration
- Practice safe cutting and prepping techniques
- Plate and style their own beautiful snack board
- Discover what it actually means to cook with intention
- Have a blast!!
