Inspired by Hartford’s city motto, Post Nubila Phoebus (After Clouds, the Sun), this place-based day trip invites participants to explore the literary landscape of a historic New England city. We’ll trace literary legacies, contested narratives, write in spaces tended by generations of immigrant hands, and walk where poets found unlikely inspiration. Come explore how Hartford’s writers turned their words into action. The day will begin at the Twain/Stowe Nook Farm Neighborhood in Hartford, CT.
Be prepared to pay an admission fee and either bring your lunch or money for lunch.
