Please join us for our July IAF Literary Dinner, kindly sponsored by Wakefield Press.Irish Women in the Antipodes: Foregrounded is a collection of Irish women's contributions to life in the Antipodes, stories that have been neglected or insufficiently acknowledged. The contributors have used all available tools to find these women in the archives, public records, newspapers, and family histories, taking them from the proverbial footnotes of history to the foreground
Our guest speaker has a PhD in archaeology from Flinders University. Her main research interests are Irishness and the Irish diaspora, with a focus on the Irish Australian experience. She was born and raised in Ireland but has lived mostly in South Australia since 1987. She is Dr Susan Arthure.
Tickets are $40 for IAF members and $45 for non-members. The price includes a choice of main course, three raffle tickets, a quiz, and an entertaining speaker.
