Take your first step in learning design technology skills for the world of animation, games and graphic design!Are you a highschool student with a talent for creativity? Have you ever wondered what it takes to launch a career in games, animation or even graphic design?
Join the City of Charles Sturt Libraries every Monday afternoon from 3:30-4:30pm for this new course operating in Term 3, where you will learn a range of software skills and industry knowledge to start building your portfolio and filling up your resume! Sessions will begin on the 23rd of July (Week 1, Term 3) and will run for the duration of the term. You will complete a creative project utilising a range of industry-standard software that we will teach you. You will learn a variety of useful skills, including digital drawing, animation, game design, user interface design, making vector graphics, compiling your portfolio, creating brand assets and more.
At the end, you will be welcomed to submit your finished project to our exciting industry showcase event to be displayed to the public, and you will be invited to listen to some engaging speakers shaping the future of the local entertainment and tech industries! You will also receive a certificate of completion from the City of Charles Sturt Libraries to recognise your effort and new skills!
Bookings are essential. You will need to bring your library card . You are also welcome to bring your own laptop - please let us know if you do not have one via the booking form and we can arrange to lend one to you - limited supply only.
