Celebrate fresh perspectives in children’s and young adult literature in this Literary Cabaret, as resident writers from the Early Career Young Adult and Children’s Books Residency share original works exploring themes of identity, imagination, and resilience.Poet and faculty mentor Jordan Scott — award-winning author of I Talk Like a River, a New York Times Best Children’s Book translated into 19 languages — will host the evening and share from his acclaimed work.
Enjoy a drink from the bar, browse a curated selection of books at Pages Books, and immerse yourself in the vibrant literary atmosphere. Doors open at 6:15 p.m., presentations begin at 7:00 p.m., and you’re invited to stay and mingle with artists and faculty until 9:00 p.m.
