Whether it’s because you don’t celebrate, you really hate Christmas music, or you just want nothing to do with the capitalist monstrosity the holiday has become, come enjoy a burlesque cabaret this winter that is full of Literally Anything But Christmas.
The show will take place December 6 at the Church of Truth on Superior Street. Doors will open at 7pm and the show starts at 7:30pm. Discounted Early Bird tickets are on sale until November 8 (or until they sell out) for $25, and $35 after that.
Best known for their all-Sapphic show Sappho’s Isle, Literally Anything But Christmas is an open-call cabaret from Ink Splatters Productions, a queer-focused production company started by Missy Ink.
The show will feature Holly Shirt, Queen V, Maverick, JJ Rabbit, Khushi, Your Royal Hiney and Missy Ink along with our two Rising Stars Charlie Chapstick and Tootise Tease, hosted by the illustrious Isla Van Damme.
The show will run approximately two hours, with eight acts plus a tip number, and a 15 minute intermission.
This show will take place on the unceded and unsurrendered lands of the Lkwungen-speaking people of the Songhees and Esquimalt Nations. These Indigenous peoples have been on this land since time immemorial and are still here today. Most of us are uninvited guests here on this land and it is a great privilege we have to be able to create here.
Ink Splatters strives to be a safe and inclusive space for all people and to produce shows that are representative of the beautiful diversity in our community. We committed to creating a sex positive, anti-racist, queer-friendly, body positive and accessible environment at my shows. Performers and audience members will also be held to these standards so that anyone can come into this space and enjoy the art that is being put on stage.
