Literacy in Motion: Linking Arms for Literacy and Language brings together educators, specialists and leaders committed to strengthening literacy outcomes for all learners. Hosted in collaboration with SWIDA and ALTA NM, this conference emphasizes effective, evidence-aligned practices that support students who are both language diverse and neurodiverse.
The event features keynote sessions from Kari Kurto and Dr. Claude Goldenberg, along with presentations from Dr. Sarah Brown and Dr. Rachel Eggleston. Attendees will explore practical strategies, research-informed approaches and tools for meeting the diverse needs of students across New Mexico and beyond.
This year’s conference also offers a pre-conference learning opportunity: Literacy in Action. This skills clinic focuses on evidence-based instructional routines designed to strengthen and streamline classroom practice.
Early bird registration is open through December 1. School leaders - we are accepting purchase orders! Register your teachers now! https://nm.thereadingleague.org/upcoming-events/
