Acrostic Zine Poetry Workshop
Whether you're new to poetry, or a seasoned poet, this workshop is open to all levels for those who want to creatively write, make art & connect with their intuition. Author & Intuitive Arts Coach, Andrea R. Freeman will be using her own card deck: "What's Your Anthem?" to help those discover what their word, mantra is & what they want to feel, experience or tap-into in the present moment.
Andrea will intuitively guide those to choose their own card/word/anthem to write an Acrostic Poem. An acrostic poem is a word spelled out vertically, and then horizontally...expressed into sentences by using the first letter of the initial word, spelled down vertically. Acrostic poetry gives words an additional meaning/story/purpose to its origin. These words chosen & poems created, can represent one's affirmation, reminder, confirmation, connection to one's higher self, inner child messages, stories, etc.
Participants will then take their word and create their own Zine (mini magazine) that within its pages, will visually reflect what their word represents. Andrea will provide all the materials needed to create a Zine, plus examples on how to design their own. Participants can take home their own Zine to have more creativity time.
