“Listening” is an artistic and social project dedicated to plurality and democratic values. At its core is the act of listening: on-site conversations with changemakers, artists, and thinkers in Cambodia are translated into drawings. This analog practice slows down exchange, creates space for dialogue, and enables direct encounters beyond social barriers.
A large-format publication grows from these meetings and becomes the foundation for a newspaper that serves as a central element of future exhibitions. Through Listening, Simona Koch and Lilla von Puttkamer are building an international network that fosters diversity, democratic participation, and sustainable forms of expression.
The project launches in Cambodia in 2026 and is conceived as an evolving, international process—continuously expanding the publication with new voices and new pages.
