P&T Knitwear is pleased to welcome author Lissa Soep for a discussion of her newest book, Other People's Words — an intimate, original, and profoundly generous look at the power of language to nurture life amid the wreckage of grief — along with an audience Q&A and book signing!

Lissa will be joined in conversation by journalist Ike Sriskandarajah. After the talk, Lissa will sign copies of her book.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Lissa Soep is senior editor for audio at Vox Media and special projects producer and senior scholar-in-residence at YR Media. She has a PhD from Stanford, where she studied education, social theory, and linguistic anthropology with leading Bakhtin scholars. She lives in San Francisco.

ABOUT THE MODERATOR

Ike Sriskandarajah is a producer at This American Life. He has also worked as a senior reporter, producer, and fill-in host for Reveal from The Center for Investigative Reporting. He contributed to stories that helped change laws and won many of the top awards in journalism. His last investigation for Reveal pressed federal prosecutors to account for their lack of charges on more than 1,700 alleged human rights violators inside the U.S (https://revealnews.org/podcast/my-neighbor-the-suspected-war-criminal/). In lighter news, he also once tracked down the kids from the skits on "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill."
