Speaker: Henna Asikainen
In Finnish mythology, lintukoto describes a paradise-like place at the far edge of the world where the sky and earth meet - a mythical refuge where birds were once believed to migrate for the winter.
Through an immersive installation, artist Henna Asikainen reinterprets this myth for the Anthropocene - an era of ecological collapse, displacement and political instability.
Join Henna for the exhibition launch and hear how she draws inspiration for her art from the experiences of those who have been forced to leave their homes.
Afternoon tea will be available at this event.
