About this Event
Learn the basics of linocut printmaking! Students will be guided through the step-by-step process of creating their own prints. We will start by looking at various examples of linocut artwork to get inspired. Then, we'll work together to design your image, transfer it to the block, carve, test, and then print your design to take home!
No printmaking or drawing experience is required - all artistic abilities are welcome! All tools and materials will be provided. While block printing ink is water based, please wear clothing that you do not mind getting stained! This is a "make and take" class - students will carve a block to keep, and produce multiple prints to take home.
Students can direct any/all questions about this class to the instructor, Dana, via email: [email protected]
