About this Event
#LinkedInLocal is a global brand with over 360 meetups across the world.
#LinkedInLocal was set up by 4 business people in different countries to enable their network and connections to meet offline and get to know each other. It is a great way in an informal atmosphere to develop lasting connections....we have some great stories from our events.
This is our 16th event, usually held quarterly.
LinkedInLocal is not for profit, all time is voluntary and all ticket value (except for administration) is donated to charity.
We have generous sponsors for the locations, your welcome drinks and canapes support for the evening and administration. It really is a great community event.
We have created some wonderful groups over the past 5 years including a marketing discussion, a walking group and some great business collaborations.
Beverley Poole is host to this event and is delighted to run this event for you to come along, bring a +1 from your network and get to know them a little better. EVERY ONE of the events is different. We have held a house party on Sandbanks, visited the Volvo and Audi showrooms, The Sandbanks hotel launched us in 2018 and we really are very grateful to say that we have over 1500 businesses following the brand on LinkedIn Bournemouth and Poole.
On Thursday 20th of June we are delighted to be back at the Village Hotel in Bournemouth with out fantastic sponsors, support team and Beverley Poole as your host. Our 3rd event with the Village hotel, Bournemouth, who always look after us.
The format will be:
- 6pm Arrival, registration, with welcome drinks and canapes
Networking in the upstairs bar, which will be open throughout the event
- 7pm Move into the function room for a short introduction talk, meet your sponsors for the evening and hear about their company.
- Vissensa IT speakers with their CEO Steve Groom. Our Headline Sponsor talking about their success journey.
- Hotel speakers - let the Village hotel inform you about their refurbishments, their great offers and about their hospitality
- GUEST SPEAKER - Group Head of Ai at Intergage Luke Williams will be talking about 5 Top Tips for your business using Ai! A knowledge base not to be missed.
- Thank you to our volunteers for the evening mentioned below
- 8-9pm will be networking in the main function room or the adjoining bar.

Please note that Steve Groom CEO of Vissensa IT has offered all those who attend an invitation to a late summer BBQ at their fabulous offices at Castle Malwood on Thursday 19th September. How generous. Your invitation will follow the event.
WE HAVE 6 'SHOWCASE' tables available for businesses to hire. If you would like one of these tables there is a charge of £45. We usually attract over 60 companies, entrepreneurs and business people from the local community so you will be showcasing to some great names.

Finally, we are raising funds for the MYTime young carers charity who will utilise the funds raised for a making memories day. They commented:
"MYTIME Young Carers is fighting to level the playing field for young carers. Young carers have been hidden in society for too long, with the vast majority juggling a huge amount of responsibility unsupported. At MYTIME we recognise and celebrate the incredible young people who do so much to support those that they care for. We believe that young carers should have access to the support, the friendships, and the opportunities every child deserves. Through our work with young carers, we’re building our understanding of the impact that we can have on a young carer’s physical, mental and emotional wellbeing, as well as their academic outcomes and future prospects. We’ve learnt that no situation is the same and that all young carers have different needs. We respond to those needs through a range of programmes designed for a varied demographic, and provide support to all young carers, regardless of their age or personal circumstance."
MYTIME will deliver a circus skills day on Friday 2nd August. It's a 4-hour workshop for 60 young carers, aged 5-18. The day will include:
Tightropes
Slack lines
Walking globe
Diabolo
Roller bowlers (balance)
Juggling balls
Tots track if required
Stilts
Unicycles
The circus hire cost is £700 + £300 for catering and transport.
