About this Event
LinkedIn Local DFW
This summer, Dallas welcomes the world.
Nine FIFA World Cup matches will be played at Dallas Stadium between June 14 and July 14, bringing teams, executives, sponsors, and visitors from Argentina, England, the Netherlands, Japan, Croatia, Austria, and Jordan into our region. For Dallas business owners, that means new clients in your conference rooms, new vendors at your dinners, and new partners across the table — many of them operating by cultural rules most American professionals have never been taught.
LinkedIn Local DFW is bringing together established business owners and operators across the metroplex for an afternoon designed to do two things at once: build the relationships that drive your business, and prepare you for the global moment landing in our city.
Featured Speaker: Colleen Rickenbacher, CMP, CSEP, CPC
Colleen is the author of Be On Your Best Cultural Behavior, a working guide to etiquette and protocol across 33 countries. A former senior executive with Visit Dallas and a Hall of Fame inductee with Texas Meetings & Events, she now consults internationally on cultural competency for business and public-facing organizations. She has been recognized by Meeting News Magazine as one of the 25 most influential people in the meetings industry.
Her session is built specifically for the World Cup window. How to greet, host, dine, and negotiate with clients from the seven nations playing in Dallas this summer — and how a 90-second misstep can quietly cost you a deal.

Two hours, structured to respect your time:
