expression at the No Name Bar.
Local artist and educator Miranda Lomeli-O'Reilly will guide you through the art of
blackout poetry. We’ll transform old book pages into new visual poems by redacting
words and creating mesmerizing repeat patterns. Discover the hidden poetry within old
pages. No experience necessary. All materials included. Grab a drink, find a page, and
make your mark with us!
Artist Bio
Miranda Lomeli-O’Reilly is a mixed media artist and educator based in Winona, MN. Her
practice centers on printmaking and expressive mark-making, drawing inspiration from
the unique colors and landscapes of her native Southern California desert. She infuses
her work with a unique blend of tongue-in-cheek humor, vibrant colors, and folk motifs.
After earning her art degree from California State University, Bakersfield, Miranda went
on to share her passion for art by teaching high school and community workshops for
artists of all ages. She is currently developing a new series of floral studies that
combine linocuts and watercolors.
