Are you up for a challenge? The class will use this planned drawing for the vignette painting. Paul will share his photo reference briefly to discuss his design. If it is not your habit to make a sketch, this will help you see the benefits of the process. The drawing will be done using a wooden match and ink followed by watercolor. “Vignette” is a term meaning “incomplete” as areas of the paper will remain blank. A vignette is an interesting and entertaining design not only for the painter but for the viewer. Along with Paul’s guidance, the drawing is created for the afternoon painting session.
