LINC Blankets & Brews

Join us to tie blankets and enjoy a cash bar and meeting other community-minded volunteers. We will provide the fleece and instructions to make hand-tied fleece blankets for Project Linus, whose mission is to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new handmade blankets. The handmade blankets will be delivered to children at local hospitals.

If you are able to, please pick out and bring your own kid-friendly, 1.5 yards (60 inches wide) of fleece to make into a blanket. Fleece will be available for those who do not bring their own. It is highly encouraged to bring your own scissors. Some will be provided but will have to be shared among those in attendance.

We are introducing a new generation of philanthropists to United Way. Our local network of early career professionals makes a difference through unique volunteer engagements and events and we invite you to be a part of it!
