Beyond the Bassline: 500 Years of Black British Music is a new exhibition at the British Library which is a musical journey of the Black diaspora in the UK. Camden Libraries are part of the Living Knowledge Network a UK‑wide partnership of national and public libraries, over 30 libraries in the network will be hosting a local Beyond The Bassline exhibition.
This event is part of the ‘The Beyond The Bassline’ Camden libraries programme, curated by Camden Culture Service. The programme provides the opportunity to explore the boroughs contribution to shaping Black music in the UK and beyond through workshops, talks and performances throughout June – August 2024.
