About this Event
Move & Groove Week is a fun, high-energy camp designed to build essential developmental skills through music and movement! Using evidence-based ABA principles, children will participate in structured activities that encourage social interaction, motor coordination, listening skills, and self-expression.
Through songs, dance, rhythm games, and guided movement, campers will practice following directions, engaging with peers, and expressing themselves in a supportive environment. Each activity is thoughtfully designed to also support emotional regulation, helping children learn how to manage their bodies and energy levels while having fun.

Monday- Freeze Dance & Movement Games
Info: Campers will enjoy exciting activities like freeze dance, animal movement songs, and follow-the-leader, all designed to keep them active and engaged while learning through play. These structured movement games help children practice important skills such as impulse control, listening, and turn-taking. Through fun, guided participation, children will build self-regulation and social awareness in a supportive, energetic environment.

Tuesday- Rhythm & Instruments
Info: Campers will explore rhythm and sound through engaging activities like rhythm sticks, shaker making, and drum circle. These hands-on experiences encourage children to move and create music together while building key developmental skills such as imitation, joint attention, and cooperative play. Through shared musical experiences, children will practice connecting with others, following cues, and participating as part of a group in a fun and supportive environment.
Wednesday- Choreography & Expression
Info: Campers will build confidence and creativity through activities like learning a simple routine, mirror dance, and emotion-through-movement. These engaging experiences help children practice following steps in order while exploring ways to express themselves through movement.

Thursday- Sensory-Friendly DJ or Silent Disco Day
Info: To ensure a positive and supportive experience for all campers, our music and movement activities are thoughtfully structured with each childβs needs in mind. As an alternative, campers can participate in a Silent Disco, offering a more individualized sensory experience. This includes personal volume control, multiple music channel options

Friday- Dance Celebration Stations
Info: Campers will rotate through a variety of engaging stations designed to keep them moving, creating, and connecting with others. Stations include instrument play, where children can explore rhythm and sound; partner routine practice, encouraging teamwork and coordination; a creative freestyle corner for self-expression through movement; and a movement obstacle course to build strength and body awareness.
These rotations provide opportunities for children to practice following directions, transitioning between activities, and engaging with peers in a fun, structured environment.
