Join us for the Limb Loss Awareness 5K! This all-ages, all-abilities event helps build awareness about limb loss and limb difference and raises money for Kentwood’s adaptive recreation programs. Event takes place at Veterans Memorial Park in Kentwood. Your participation helps support local amputees and all profits will be channeled towards improving and offering more programs for people with physical challenges.
Along with the race, there will be activities and educational opportunities to raise awareness about limb loss and limb difference. Come out and enjoy this family friendly event and learn about amputation education related to diabetes, vascular compromise, foot and ankle disease, orthopedic trauma, prosthetics and orthotics.
New! This year we've added a one-mile Resilience Race. This distance was added for participants of all abilities who want to be part of race day and set a personal goal that feels right for them. Starting at the same time as the 5K, participants will follow the course to a designated turnaround point before returning to the finish. This race is all about encouragement, determination, and celebrating every finish.
We will also have a Kid’s 1 Mile Fun Run! Kids will receive a t-shirt and medal!
