Lillian Hackett is an emerging singer-songwriter from Lovettsville, Virginia, whose passion for music began in childhood, when she was immersed in the vibrant local music scene. Weekends spent at barn dances, folk festivals, and bonfire jams shaped her style and connected her to the rich heritage of old-time and bluegrass music. Often described as an Appalachian Stevie Nicks or a distant cousin of Sierra Ferrell, Lillian blends Folk and Americana influences to craft soulful, authentic musical experiences. Joining Lillian onstage will be Lynn Kasdorf on pedal steel, Evan Bell on upright bass, and Joe Hammett on guitar and mandolin.
This Emerging Artist Month program is supported in part by a grant from the Boxley-Fox Endowment Fund. Read more at barnsofrosehill.org/concerts/lillian-hackett.
