Nicholas Diego Leanos, better known as Lil Xan or simply Diego, is an American rapper, singer and songwriter from Redlands, California. He is best known for his song "Betrayed", which was certified platinum by the RIAA and peaked at number 64 on the Billboard Hot 100.Lil Xan, who considers Playboi Carti as his musical inspiration, began dropping his music on SoundCloud in 2016. In other words, he is one of the few rappers to make his name from social media platforms such as YouTube or SoundCloud.September of 2016, he released his first mixtape titled “CITGO”. A single from that mixtape titled “Who Are You” has been streamed over 4.84 million times on SoundCloud. And in 2017, he released his debut EP titled “Toothache”.The EP included a song called “Betrayed”, which was a massive hit and has been viewed over 70 million times on YouTube, as well as being played over 27 million times on SoundCloud.Apart from his solo career, he has also been part of collaboration projects. Lil Xan and Steve Cannon dropped a mixtape “Trap Lullaby” in 2016 and in 2017, he was featured in Nick Colletti’s “Single”.
