Little cowpokes from across the Pikes Peak region are invited to saddle up for one of the cutest and rowdiest traditions of parade morning! Watch kids race, dash, and gallop their way through the Lil' Cowpokes Stick Horse Races, where western spirit, big imaginations, and fast feet take center stage.
From tiny cowboys and cowgirls to future rodeo champions, racers are encouraged to come dressed in their western best and bring their stick horse energy to the starting line. Expect exciting races, western fun, photo opportunities, rodeo royalty appearances, and plenty of smiles along the way.
The races take place at the official parade reviewing stands near Hank the Cowboy at the intersection of Pikes Peak Avenue & Tejon Street in Downtown Colorado Springs, putting participants right in the middle of all the action.
