funding applications, to win those grants!
About this Event
If writing funding applications is your idea of a nightmare, and as more funders look to be more accessible and provide video application options, this workshop can help give you the practical skills to create low-cost films that showcase your organisation's activities and impact, connect emotionally with funders, and stand out in a competitive funding environment.
You'll also be able to use your skills to create short, powerful films for your social media pages, website, and to any event where potential corporate sponsors might see!
This two hour session will include:
- Why videos are important for grant applications
- The stages to creating video content for grant applications:
- Understanding what the funder is looking for
- Planning your content
- Creating the content with your messaging in mind
- Utilising and repurposing your content
- Technical tips on how to create a grant application video using your phone
There will also be an opportunity to ask the expert trainers your questions, PLUS all attendees will receive access to pre-recorded self-led training on how to edit your content.
This workshop will be a mixture of presentation, interactive activities, and group discussion. It is aimed at those working, volunteering, or starting out in the VCFSE (voluntary, community and faith-based groups, and social enterprise organisations) sector in Stockport.
Refreshments such as tea and coffee will be provided.
