Sundays | 10.30am–11.30amSt Mary’s Church, Rushden
St Mary’s Church warmly welcomes everyone to gather each Sunday morning at 10.30am for worship together as a church family. Our Sunday service lasts until approximately 11.30am and includes praise and worship, prayer, reflection, and teaching from Scripture. After the service, tea, coffee, and biscuits are served, providing a relaxed opportunity for conversation, friendship, and fellowship.
Children and young people
Children begin the service in church with the adults, joining in worship and songs. They then move to age-appropriate groups in the main hall, led by caring and committed leaders, while adults remain in church for the main sermon. These children’s sessions are designed to nurture faith, explore Bible stories, and encourage learning through fun, friendship, and creative activities. At the same time, the adult congregation receives teaching intended to inspire, encourage, and deepen understanding of God’s love and purpose.
Growing together
This approach creates a welcoming environment where different generations worship together while also engaging with faith in ways that are meaningful for their age and stage. Once a month, the church holds a Family Service, bringing everyone together for inclusive worship, prayer, and teaching. These services celebrate intergenerational faith and highlight the importance of unity, belonging, and shared worship within God’s family.
Visitors can expect a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, where hospitality is highly valued and newcomers quickly feel at home. Time spent together after worship strengthens relationships, encourages faith to grow, and allows joy to be shared. At St Mary’s Church, Rushden, everyone is welcome.
