- SEND or Neurodivergent with an EHCP?
- Finishing a course and not sure what's next?
- Out of education or employment and unsure of next steps?
- Want to work but not sure how to get going?
... If the above sounds like you or someone you know - a Internship is waiting for you!
Our Pre-Internship Programme runs for one or two years, following the Leeds City Council academic year across three terms. It’s designed to help interns grow in confidence, explore their strengths, and take real steps towards the world of work.
Supported Internships are work-based programmes for young adults aged 18-25 who have an EHCP. Our internships aim to empower young people with SEND to confidently and positively enter the world of work.
Our trained Job Coaches work alongside students at our Employer hosts (placements including John Lewis, NHS, KPMG, Crag House Farm, Arla & many more) where Supported Interns will work as part of a small team with dedicated work-based buddies for 3 or 4 days a week. The remaining 1 or 2 days of the week are spent at our college site in Headingley working on a varied and engaging curriculum focused around employability, independence skills & well-being.
This Open Event is for anyone hoping to find out more about Internships and what these look like in practice.
We look forward to seeing you there!
