Join us on Sunday, July 28th at 8pm at our family-friendly, peaceful gathering as we light up the John Ringling Causeway with Pride! ?Since Governor DeSantis declared this summer to be “Freedom Summer,” we’re springing into action to declare to him that Pride is resistance, Pride is survival, and we won’t be going anywhere.

Join us for a special evening as we light up the bridge in a stunning display of community and artistry. This coalition is important because we together are holding space for all of us, as we create a beacon of hope.
Here’s what you can expect:
Meeting Point:
We’ll gather on the City of Sarasota side of the John Ringling Causeway (Bridge) by the playground near the bait shop.

The Walk:
Together, we’ll walk to the top of the bridge, where designated light holders will help us illuminate the night.
Community Participation:
Be part of this collective effort to light up the bridge and create a beautiful, shared experience.
Artistic Surprises:
Local artists from our coalition will have special surprises in store for you, adding an extra layer of magic to the evening.
We will have speakers after we light up the bridge, along with a vigil, to remind the community that our voices matter. To give them a beacon of hope.
What to wear:
Wear comfortable, colorful clothes. Feel free to wear or bring something that lights up and Pride flags!
