Montreal, this is our moment to light the first spark.On December 15, as dusk falls, we’re inviting families, neighbours, schools, daycares, and community groups from every corner of the city to step outside with handmade lanterns and help ignite a movement that will spread from one neighbourhood to the next until Montreal shines as one.
Light for a Cure is a youth-powered lantern walk created by Team Wenes in support of the 36th Défi Canderel and the life-changing cancer research taking place right here in Montreal.
Cancer touches all of us. Our light becomes a shared response and a shared hope.
How to participate:

• Walk with us at Outremont Park

• Start your own mini-walk from your home, school, daycare, office, or neighbourhood
When we lift our lanterns, we honour loved ones, support those still fighting, shine hope for the breakthroughs ahead, and offer gratitude to the researchers guiding us toward a cure.
This is a call to every neighbourhood:
Light the torch.
Pass it forward.
Let the glow travel street by street, block by block, until the entire city lights up for a better tomorrow.
