Join Mr Science at Nelson Provincial Museum for a fun, interactive exploration of light and colour (and bubbles!), inspired by our exhibition Te Ao Kanapa: The Wonder of Light, Colour and Pattern.This show focuses on the science of light, with demonstrations and hands-on activities that are sure to educate and entertain.
Mr Science is a specialist primary science teacher with 15+ years’ experience inspiring kids around Aotearoa, including major shows and workshops at Te Papa (Wellington).
Two sessions available (Saturday 28 February):
• 11:00am–12:00pm
• 2:00pm–3:00pm
What’s included (60 minutes):
• 20-minute talk packed with exciting science demonstrations
• 40-minute workshop making and testing bubbles that turn white light into rainbows
• Blow bubbles, create monster bubbles, and investigate the colourful science on the bubble surface
• Take-home bubble blower and bubble mix included
