About the Walk:
This isn't a race - its a fun, inclusive community walk designed to raise awareness and vital funds for Australian Rotary Health's Mental Health Research. Whether you've been personally impacted or simply care about the cause, your participation helps make a difference.
Since the first walk in Mooloolaba in 2016, this initiative has grown into a national series, raising over $250,000 for mental health research - and we're just getting started.
Why this Matters:
This event is more than just a walk - its a movement. Here's why its special:
- 100% of the funds raised go directly to Australian Rotary Health's mental health research
- It brings the community together to support those affected by mental health challenges and start important conversations
- It provides a space to honour loved ones - some participants choose to wear custom shirts in memory of someone lost to mental health.
Hosted by:
Rotary Tropical North Queensland, representing the 11 Rotary Clubs in and around Cairns.

In the EVENT we did get cancelled because of weather or COVID.
Just in case the current walk format is cancelled because of extreme weather conditions or a return of COVID we'll still be going ahead just differently. We'd love you to get out on the day of the event and walk and talk with us. We will shift it online and do it virtually! We encourage you to share it on socials while adhering to any necessary restrictions, of course. Given we are raising vital funds for mental health research and it's honestly never been more important, your ticket registration donation will make a huge difference to what Australian Rotary Health research funding can achieve. Your shiny new t-shirt will still be waiting for you to collect and we'll keep you up to date of a safe place and time for that to happen via email in the event we can't go ahead on the day.
