Lifford Shillingford live at Hopscotch
With a career spanning over 30 years in the music industry, this Soulful powerhouse has performed alongside some of the world’s finest artists and musicians including Chaka Khan, Aretha Franklin, Mo Pleasure (Earth Wind and Fire), and Craig David.
Liffords love for the arts began at a very early age. He took part in many theatre productions at school and college. It was during his studies that a mutual friend introduced him to a Band already signed to Warner Brothers record label where he became lead singer.
A top 3 hit single with platinum selling artist Artful Dodger propelled Lifford into the spotlight in the year 2000 and because of this success he was able to performed on TV shows such as Top Of The Pops, Later With Jools Holland, Children in Need plus radio tours in the Uk and Europe. Lifford has many unforgettable moments and they include performances at the The Royal Albert Hall, The Royal Festival Hall and Glastonbury.
Thanks to collaborations with music brands and Theatre production companies he continues to perform at big London venues including the London Palladium and Wembley Arena. In 2018 Lifford was Alesha Dixon’s golden buzzer Semi-Finalist on Britain’s Got Talent where 8 million people tuned in to watch.Most recently he played Django in Tarrantino Live! A musical based on Quentin Tarrantino’s masterpieces.
