LifeScan Engineering Open House Week 2026

Welcome to the LifeScan Engineering Open House Week!

Lifescan is the largest private employer in the Inverness area providing a range of products for the management of diabetes and a wide range of careers in STEM subjects. We are opening our site to young visitors on the mornings of 24th and 25th June 2026 as part of the national IET Engineering Open House Week to engage young aspiring engineers and scientists.

This event is open to small groups (12) of school students from S2 to S3 age range who may be interested in a career in a STEM subject. One ticket is needed per school group (not individuals). Places are limited so we are inviting schools to reserve one ticket initially in order to allow more schools to participate.

There will be :

• Introductory presentation about diabetes and how our products help people with the condition.
• Site tour to see the largest Blood Glucose Strip manufacturing facility in the world (yes the world!)
• STEM based activities to engage our young visitors.
