Pack Your Bags. We’re Going on Vacation.
Close your eyes. Feel the warmth of the sun on your skin, the sand between your toes, the sound of waves pulling you into a state of complete and total ease. That’s where we’re going — and we’re taking the stage with us.
Life’s a Beach is our love letter to summer — to the version of yourself that is unhurried, radiant, and fully alive. No agenda. No tension. Just sun, sea, and sand, and the pure joy of being exactly where you want to be.
We’re calling all aerialists, dancers, and free spirits to step into that feeling and bring it to life in the air. Think golden goddesses melting into the warmth of the sun, mermaids surrendering to the pull of the tide, beach wanderers with salt in their hair and not a care in the world. This is your vacation — your escape — and your performance is the postcard.
In this 8-week series students will learn a choreographed (hammock, chains, or lyra) routine, then take creative ownership by choosing their own music and developing a character inspired by their song. The choreography is adapted to each student so the final performance is uniquely their own.
Over 4 weeks, you’ll learn the aerial skills that create the choreography, followed by 4 sessions in the performance space. The series culminates in a live student showcase at ON St. Elmo on Saturday, 8/15, for friends, family, and community. And if you prefer to take the series and rehearsals without performing—that’s perfectly fine too! Your journey and growth are what matter most.
Prerequisite: Must have completed a 4-Week Aerial Arts Foundations or 2 Aerial Arts privates at Flying Buddha and be ready to commit to a consistent aerial practice.
This workshop is limited to 12 students. Sign up early to hold your spot!
Cost of workshop: $550 for the series. Payment plans available—please inquire at the Front Desk
