About this Event
Life Without A Purpose
It is said that an unexamined life is not worth living. But what if you examine your life - the things that happened and are bound to happen - and find it empty? Or perhaps you'll find that your life is just alright - not really empty, but not 'bright'. You lead a kind of lackluster existence - get up, go to work, exercise, eat, sleep. The bottom line is that we all want meaning. So how do we get to that? Do we need a singular purpose? A higher calling? A vocation, mission, or just an inspiring list of goals? In this Philosophy Salon, we will talk about life without a purpose and what is gained - not lost - if purpose is not what we really need and want.
