The twentieth-century German Lutheran pastor and theologian Dietrich Bonhoeffer (1906–1945) holds a special place in the hearts of many for his theological insight and his courageous commitment to living out a Christ-centered, community-oriented vision of the Gospel’s costly grace in the midst of historical crisis. Bonhoeffer’s voice continues to inspire people to think both with and after him in ways that are both creatively constructive and critically relevant. We warmly invite longtime fans and those new to his work to join us for a thought-provoking afternoon of scholarly exploration. Together, we will reflect on Bonhoeffer’s life, work, and enduring legacy, with particular attention to fresh perspectives on his theology and ethics and their ongoing significance for today.
