Your Life as a Work of Art
In this salon series, F.V. Everleigh talks with artists about their work and process with a focus on how we might apply artistic techniques and theories to improve our emotional and psychological work, so that we might better live a Beautiful Life. It is an extension and exploration of Everleigh's "52 Days of Beauty" course held online and at Caryatis Farm. Join us for lively and insightful discussion.

Alyson Lyon is a lifelong artist with a diverse background in performance, writing, and education. She holds a BFA from DePaul University's Theatre School and an M.Ed in Secondary Education from DePaul University's School of Education. Alyson trained in makeup artistry at Makeup First Chicago, where she worked in makeup across various media for nearly a decade. This experience deeply informs her approach to layers, balance, color, and texture in her artistic practice. Additionally, she has studied Figure Drawing at Palette and Chisel in Chicago. Her artwork has been exhibited in Chicago and is part of private collections across the United States.
Beyond her art practice, Alyson is a professional actor, an award-winning screenwriter, and an experienced educator, having taught high school English and Theatre, as well as Reiki and yoga.
