Let’s meet up for a pack walk! We will meet at Belle Isle (recreation passport required for entry). Please see discussions tab for exact meeting location. This walk is weather permitting!New for 2026! Participation is FREE! Club walk ribbons are available for $5- please let me know prior to the walk if you’re interested in purchasing so I can bring some.
If you want to earn incentives (see below) and/or need AKC FIT Dog paperwork filled out, participation is $3 per dog and can be paid with cash in person or Zelle 734-771-3680 (these 2 methods are preferred). I can also take PayPal friends and family [email protected] if cash or Zelle aren’t possible. **You must let me know ahead of time if you are requesting this, otherwise, I will assume you are walking for fun and will not track your attendance**
Incentives: After attending 5 in person walks, handlers will receive a sticker! After attending 10 in person walks, your dog will earn a certificate! After attending 20 in person walks, your dog will receive a ribbon! Incentives for attending more walks coming soon/TBD!
Please remember our group rules:
-No aggressive dogs (or humans)
-Dogs must be on a 6ft or shorter lead
-No prong collars or e-collars
-No retractable or flexi leashes
-no children under 18 without a parent or guardian
If you aren't local, you can still participate by tracking your walk or run on your own at a time convenient to you on this same day and sending the information per the below. To keep in the group spirit, try and walk at the same time as us!
Earning AKC Fit Dog titles? This can count towards a group walk (category C) OR a community run (category B). Just make sure to track the distance and then send me (Amanda Loveday) a screenshot along with your dog's information. Please do this even if you come in person so that I don't forget anyone!
For a FIT dog documentation form, please let me know if you want this to count for a run (category B) or a walk (category C) and I will also need the following information. It can be sent to me via messenger (Amanda Loveday):
