Life Drawing with HOP
For experienced & novice artists alike, this relaxed arty social is a chance to use your chosen medium to capture the ultimate subject: an actual human person.
Wine in one hand (its BYOB), charcoal in the other, slip away into this creative, mindful and utterly relaxing experience.
Can't Draw?
You may think you can't draw, but there are no rules! Whether it’s a stick figure, abstract, or a perfectly proportioned sketch—anything goes. Be brave and give it a go!
What's Included?
- Art Materials: Drawing boards, pencils, charcoal, and paper are provided, but feel free to bring your preferred materials.
- Professional Nude Model: The model will pose in timed sessions ranging from 1 to 15 minutes.
- Guidance & Freestyle Time: You’ll receive creative drawing prompts for the first few poses. After the warm-up, you’ll have time to explore your own artistic flair.
- Jazzy Jazz Playlist: A chilled-out playlist, perfect for unwinding after work.

Schedule
- 2.15–2.30pm: Arrive, grab equipment, and find a seat
- 2.30pm: Start with 4 warm-up poses with prompts, followed by freestyle 2–8-minute poses
- 3.30pm: 15-minute break
- 3.45pm: 10–15-minute poses
- 4.30pm: The end!

Refund Policy
No refunds are available if the event goes ahead as scheduled. However, you can transfer your ticket to someone else. For date transfers, please provide at least 72 hours' notice.

Who is HOP?
Our life drawing founder and host, Lisa Payne, is a colourful art print and greeting card designer who creates for joy. Her feel-good brand, House of Payne (HOP), is stocked in Oliver Bonas, The Whitworth Gallery, and more.
Before launching HOP and hosting life drawing sessions, Lisa spent over a decade as an in-house print designer, creating patterns for bedding, wallpaper, and more. Now, she shares her passion for creativity, colour, and self-expression, hoping others find joy, mindfulness, and calm through art.
