It's Schubertiade time! Continuing the tradition established by Pianoforte, we will have an evening of Schubert and conviviality (aka food and drink). Friday January 31 is Schubert's birthday!
Liederstube: Fine Arts Building, studio 721
From 5pm
We will attempt to get through all the song cycles with Eugenia Cheng at the piano, and whoever turns up and would like to sing any of it. We will start with Die Schöne Müllerin and take it from there. Any voice type, any fach, any gender.
Depending on how long we faff around in between songs, it is likely to be 6:30 or 7 by the time we start Winterreise, and 8 or 9 for Schwanengesang...
Come and sing, or just have a drink and enjoy classical music in an intimate, informal environment. All are welcome, especially children!
Masks are optional and welcome. Please do not play or touch the piano.
Thanks to Ian Murrell for hosting!
