About the artists:
~FROTAE is a sonic laboratory and sacred playground. Five saxophonists create sound that enhances physical and auditory phenomena, instigating a visceral response within the listener. A totally acoustic expression in close proximity to the audience confers an immersive experience where sound is felt, where the listener can be carried into and through the sound.

Every audience member is a cherished ally to the artist. With this in mind, we ask that attendees offer what is within their means, and in this way they can be solidary to the accessibility of the event and the livelihood of the artists involved. Everyone’s contribution, no matter the amount, is vital. Note also that your contribution upwards of 20$ contributes to a pay-it-forward system which supports the NOTAFLOF policy (no one turned away for lack of funds).

ABOUT THE SLIDING SCALE FORMAT:
In order to make the event financially accessible while contributing to the livelihoods of participating artists, we ask that you consider the following criteria when choosing your ticket price from the suggested price range below:
Solidarity 25: If your net income is $38,000 or more per year, please choose Solidarity 25. By purchasing this ticket, you are helping to make the event accessible to others by promoting free or affordable access. Thank you!
Solidarity 20: If your income is between $30,000 and $34,000 net per year, please choose Solidarity 20. By purchasing this ticket, you are helping to make the event viable. Thank you!
Solidarity 15: If your income is lower, we encourage you to choose Solidarity 15. These contributions make the event run smoothly.
Finally, our event applies a NOTAFLOF policy: No one is turned away for lack of funds. If you are experiencing financial difficulties or particular hardship, we still want you to participate in cultural life. Come on out!

Une contribution de 35$ ou plus sert de commande pour l’album en création. Nous noterons vos informations afin de vous envoyer une copie physique ou numérique lorsqu’elles seront prêtes. Sinon, nous maintenons nos tarifs solidaires: NOTAFLOF/sliding scale (voir les détails plus bas).

~FROTAE est un laboratoire sonore et un terrain de jeu sacré. Cinq saxophonistes créent des sons qui amplifient les phénomènes physiques et auditifs, provoquant une réponse viscérale chez l'auditeur. Une expression totalement acoustique, à proximité immédiate du public, offre une expérience immersive où le son est ressenti, où l'auditeur peut être transporté dans et à travers le son. Dans cette optique, nous demandons aux public de donner ce qu'iel peut, afin de contribuer à la solidarité, à l'accessibilité de l'événement et à la subsistance des artistes impliqué.e.s. La contribution de chacun.e, quel qu'en soit le montant, est essentielle. Notez également qu’une contribution supérieure à 20 $ contribue à un système de paiement à l'avance qui soutient la politique NOTAFLOF (personne n'est refusé pour manque de moyens).
