Our LGBTQIA+ Book Club is a blend of queer folk and allies from the local community who come together on one of the first Tuesdays of each month. We discuss a chosen title while providing a safe space to foster community. We strive to choose quality reads with positive and/or realistic queer representation; though we do recognize that such criteria is subjective to individual taste and experience.In January we will discuss Hijab Butch Blues, "A queer hijabi Muslim immigrant survives her coming-of-age by drawing strength and hope from stories in the Quran in this “raw and relatable memoir that challenges societal norms and expectations” (Linah Mohammad, NPR)."
