There is a clear business advantage for organisations having policies, procedures, induction and training in place to provide an inclusive employment environment that builds good relationships with LGBTQ+ staff, LGBTQ+ customers and the wider LGBTQ+ community.

Additionally, the Equality Act 2010 has made the law both stronger and more enforceable where litigation may be concerned, and HR professionals increasingly need to assess their own workplace culture around LGBTQ+ issues to minimise any potential staff or customer complaints.
